Sugar

Trying to get my sugar cravings under control, and reduce my caloric intake. I'm afraid to try to calculate how much I have been eating lately. I've picked up a bad habit of eating cake or donuts or muffins everyday. Sometimes 2 in one day. Put on 10 lbs. That's on to of the accumulated weight from years of poor eating habits. That and driving everywhere. I need to start going to the zoo on weekends. The San Diego Zoo is amazing and its very hilly so lots of exercise just walking around, pushing the stroller.

Finally, it's Friday!  I built up a few hours OT so I'm gonna head out early today.  Then it's off to Bingo tonight. Tomorrow I have a family birthday... cake - yum!

Jumping

Watching my 2 year old son, I realize that we take so much for granted. Well, we know kids have to learn to walk and talk and potty train! But did you even think about how you learned to jump?  My son does this little tippy-toe stick out his chest and shove forward and up. His toes never leave the floor. (I'll try to get it on video if I can, but he is suck a camera hog, as soon as he knows he's being filmed he runs to the camera.)

I am learning that there is a lot I don't know! Like potty training! How in the world do you teach a 2 - 3 year old how to 'hold it in' til you get to the potty. I guess just trial and error, but think about how you would describe it if you were trying to explain it to a child!

And let's not start talking about explaining how to blowing your nose....!
